What year and what tranny would help us help you.
You most certainly can, however it does require a partner. Back before there were machines to do transmission flushes this is how we used to do it. Jack the vehicle up slightly depending on vehicle type. Disconnect the transmission fluid feed line from either the tranny cooler or the tranny itself (has to be the feed line) now with the feed line inside of a good sized bucket have a friend with a funnel ready to begin pouring new tranny fluid into the filler. Start the car and as the old tranny fluid exits the feed line in the bucket your buddy should be pouring new tranny fluid into the filler as soon as you see new tranny fluid begin to exit the feed line turn the engine off. Now doing it yourself will require a few additional quarts of trans fluid, but it is a small price to pay for saving on the labor. Good Luck!

A second class city is one that is not as good as a first class city. Flint, Michigan is an example.
Not a good idea.
the engine is locked up. Not good. Very expensive.
You just take all the bolts out of the tranny that holds it to the engine, take the tranny cooler lines off the tranny, unhook the shifter cable and unbolt the torque converter from the flywheel and your good to go.
If it is the gauge you have to pull the gauge cluster. If it is the cable you have to get under the car and replace it. It will be the only cable on the tranny. Good luck
Yes it is. It is a 3 speed automotive style auto-tranny.
700R4,,,, NOT 4R,,,,, Its an overdrive tranny that has a very good locking converter, Its actually the best overdrive trans ever made by GM, It will shift on its own and locks up nicely. 88 to 92
too many things to list could be wrong. take it to a reputable repar shop. Good luck.
I don't think so ... I think you'd be better off just getting a new tranny for your camaro The Cotman R700's aren't all that expensive that's the tranny in the camaros I believe too but that's just me ... i mean you could try it ... but i wouldn't advise it good luck!
You need to have the used transmission checked. Those trannies go into limp mode when there is a paroblem. Sometimes it's simple fix, sometimes not. Could be an electrical problem with one of the sensors in the front of the tranny. Have a good one.
Never heard of a Camaro LX...
Out of ALL of the Camaro's made in the world the 1989 Camaro is the most girly of the models. It is weak and not good. People may think Camaro's pick up ladies I'm sure the 1989 Camaro picks up guys!
Take the tranny pan down and unbolt the filter and replace with a new one, clean the pan real good and scrape old gasket off the pan and install new gasket onto the pan with permetex sealer and let dry for 10 minutes and the reinstall the pan to the tranny with the bolts and torque down to about 15 ft. lbs. and then refill the tranny with new fluid until full on the dipstick with engine warmed up and in park, usually about 5 or 6 qts. to refill.
your gonna want to change tranny, those tranny's can only handle up to so much power, if you want to put some good power, then get a better tranny, if u want five spd then get a tko 500, tko 600, or tko 600 rr, if you want 6 speed, t56. im trying to buy a 84 with a 305, ima put my 94 z28 lt1 in it, ima even do the automatic!!
