Nail polish remover(acetone) will do irreparable damage to parts of the keyboard. It dissolves many plastics. All you can do is replace the whole keyboard.
Acetone is very flammable and should be kept in a cool place. If it is spilled on skin or eyes, it should be washed off immediately.
Quick, cover it before ur mom comes home!!! Ahhhh! then eat it

You shouldn't. Nail polish remover could damage your flute. I know because I spilled nail polish on my boyfriends *now husband* flute. and it got destroyed :(
The spilled fingernail polish has already removed itself, by evaporating. Before that happened it damaged the finish on the floor. What you need to do now is to restore the finish.
Nail polish remover usually serves to remove nail polish, its quite a nifty invention
I just used nail polish remover on my black leather chair and ottoman (made by Ashley)to remove pink nail polish and it worked without damaging the leather.
If you've already tried standard nail polish remover and it hasn't worked, try using pure acetone. It can be hard to find, but some of the retail beauty supply places carry it. Daub at it with damp cotton balls until you get it off. Do NOT pour the acetone on the linoleum. It can damaged your floor. My son spilled a half bottle of nail polish on my linoleum and I did not see it until It had dried. I used BORAX (COMPLETELY NON TOXIC and you can find it at any grocery storei in the laundry section) and a scrubbing brush. CAME RIGHT UP and did not ruin the finish!!! Acetone can and will damage the finish.
There is a solvent that is marketed specifically for the purpose of removing nail polish, which is called nail polish remover. It works. Buy a bottle.
If you use regular acrylic paint it may crack and peel in the wash. Mind you, acrylic is pretty permanent on fabric, as you will know if you've ever accidentally spilled some on your clothing. To be sure of your end result, there is a solution sold in most craft stores (usually in the same place as the acrylic craft paints) that can be mixed with your paints to make it more durable on fabric. I've been using it for years and have had excellent results.
It depends on what item the nail polish is staining. It is nearly impossible to remove nail polish from fabrics/carpet/tablecloths because the nail polish remover will bleach and damage the fabric before it will remove all the color of the polish. Commercial stain remover products will not be effective on nail polish as it is paint based. If it was spilled on glass then it is safe to use nail polish remover. On wood furniture it will also remove the varnish and wood stain along with the polish so that isn't good either. In other words, your parents are going to "notice" wherever you spilled the polish.
