I was prescribed Celexa last year and have not taken it since. Is it still ok for me to take the same ones a year later?

There should be an expiry date marked on the box but if there isn't I wouldn't take them as they are a year old and may not have the same effect as they would have had last year.

Not only are both of those drugs for slightly different purposes, but both should be closely monitored. If you are a 100 pound woman 200 mg of lamictal could be considered a fairly large dose. If you are a 225 pound man, 200 mg of lamictal could be considered a small dose. You need to explain to your doctor why you think you need to replace celexa with effexor. Normally effexor replaces a different type of drug. Still if celexa is not working, he may have misdiagnosed the problem.
