If you aren’t comfortable doing this yourself, a professional would be able to come in and do the job perfectly. The wooden stair treads can also be stained. This is another method that needs to be done carefully. The stain should instantly be wiped as soon as it is applied to avoid too much staining. Three coats of stain should leave the stair treads looking fabulous once again.

Amazon.com also sells stair treads, but it is not guaranteed that they will be in good condition and they will fit your stairs. I would recommend going to a home appliance store with proper measurements to make sure there is no room for error.

One will need a pulley to install a stair lift as well as many other tools. A screwdriver, hammer, and perhaps even a stair lift kit would also be helpful in installing a stair lift.

Do not confuse stairs with steps or treads! All depends on floor to floor height. Floor to ceiling 8 ft. + floor thickness (8 to 12 in.) would give you approx. 10 or 11 steps. but my answer would have to be 1 (one), there is one stair in a standard spiral staircase
