It might be a sensor. If the engine isn't running, the fuel pump is supposed to shut down after a few seconds. If it's something else, you've just replaced a perfectly good fuel pump. Next time try running a diag test before replacing a bunch of expensive parts. also check the distributer connector(s) for corroded or damaged pins inside. also check for a bad ground as these will inhibit the computer from keeping the fuel pump running after the engine starts. also is your air intake tube original? if it is I can bet you its cracked somewhere along the flexible ribbed portion of the hose and this will prevent the mass air meter from sending the proper signal to the computer as it is bypassing air past the mass air meter (I had this exact same problem with my 91 escort too) this hose is about 70 to 80 bucks at the Ford dealership I dont know of any other parts stores that would be able to obtain this part its one of those parts only the dealer can get. good luck

If the toilet is not running right, won't stop running, or not running at all, it could very well be the fill valve. This means that the valve will need to be replaced as soon as possible or the toilet will not work properly. If not replaced (or refitted), it could start to leak and end up costing one even more money in the long run.

You should hear it running when you turn on the switch. After a second or two it should stop buzzing. If it doesn't the Fuel Pump isn't sensing that the pressure has built up and should be replaced. Another thing it could be is that the relay for the fuel pump is stuck on. Replace the relay.

231,000 joules is an amount of energy, while watts are a measure of how fast energy is used or converted. 231,000 joules could be used by 1 watt running for 231,000 seconds, or 231 watts running for 1000 seconds, etc. Energy = power x time, so 1000 watts for 231 seconds is an amount of energy equal to 231,000 joules.
