Computer controlled - not adjustable
cuantas millas por galon hace un chevi corsica 1989?
WAS A COIL PACK ON MY 1992 CORSICA possibilities as simple as a complete tune up. Check the fuel filter. It may not be getting enough fuel. Or could be clogged injectors. the problem could be caused by a sticky idle control motor
check the soleinoid
it could be, you should deff. get it checked out by a mechanic
If a 2001 Cadillac DeVille shakes when the car is idle, there could be an issue with the powertrain. There could also be a problem with the crankshaft position sensor.
There are many ways you could cure a rough idle. You must first diagnose why the problem started in the first place.
On a 1992 Acura Vigor idle is adjusted through a idle control valve. Tightening the valve well raise the lower the idle and loosening it will raise it.
CHECK COIL PACKS
Idle is set by the computer.
The idle is preset and controlled by the Idle Air Control Motor. You may have a dirty throttle plate that could cause a problem.
have lost my idle on a 1995 mitsubishi--what is the problem
It's likely the fuel pressure regulator. I had a Chevy Corsica with the same problem and it was solved by replacing the regulator.
The choke mechanism on your 98 Explorer could be sticking. The EGR valve could also not be functioning right. Either of these issues could cause the rough idle problem.
Other than resetting the ECU, disconnecting the battery should not cause the bad idle. You have reset the ECU and it may need some time and driving cycles to idle correctly. But I am doubtful this is the problem. I would suspect this is just a coincidence, and you have another problem.
could it be the thermostat or the fan itself?
There is not an "IDLE" sensor. The engine computer sets and adjusts the idle speed. If the idle speed won't settle down you need to have the computer scanned to determine the causeBUTVery often with this problem the throttle body is dirty and just needs cleaning.
A bad coolant temperature sensor is one thing that could cause an idling speed problem with a Peugeot 406. There could also be a problem with the idle control valve.
No, an engine idle RPM being not zero is not a problem. If the idle were zero, the engine would not be running!
I had the same problem with my 01, changed the MAF and all problems are now gone.
possible cause of high idle could be that your idle contol switch / valve has carbon build up on it. remove and clean with carburetor cleaner. let it dry completely before re-installing it. idle should come down if not it has probably gone bad and need to be replaced.
The idle is automatic. If the speed is not corect then you have to fix the problem with the idle motor.
high idle problem on a 1997 sc1 when car is in gear
To adjust the idle on Mazda 929 from 1992-1995.......on the top side off throttle body there is a idle air screw, turn screw cloclwise to reduce RPM. Question...is idle always high when hot or cold?
