You've probably warped the head and therefore the motor is unable to achieve any compression due to the air escaping out. If you're lucky, it's a machining and replace head gasket; if unlucky, you've done your motor. You've most likely got a blown head gasket. This would have caused overheating as the problem began and worsened, and the no start/lack of compression now. along with head gasket check timing more than likely jumped time if the belt is still good this causes no compression
We had that problem and brought it in today to get fixed. The problem was the motor overheated.
if the distributor is not firing. check to see if your engines compression; if compression is at zero, then you need a new engine. Mazda millenia, 626, ford probe have this problem.

i don't know about the no fuel thing but check your head gasket and your timing belt it may have jumped time i know that's what was wrong with my gf's
I had the same problem. It would stall out after coasting down a hill. Cleaned the throttle body about six months ago. Has not stalled since then.
Ignition module is bad I had a similar problem on a Pontiac grand am- it was the torque inverter. It would idle fine, run in nuetral, but as soon as it was put into gear it stalled with a thump.

I had a similar problem with my Mazda 626. The car will completely stall while driving and can not be started again except after few minutes.It turned out to be my distributor electronic ignition component gets overheated and stop functioning.When it cools off it starts again. Replacing the distributor solve the problem.

I have a '93 Protege DX that was having this same problem. I found that if you pull the top off the airbox and clean the sensor inside the problem goes away. Also make sure that the airbox and all lines coming from it are secure and have no leaks.
You probably don't have compression in one or both of your rotors. Perform a compression test to verify.
10:1 - 12:1 through that range is fine

you mean the starter just freely spins and does not turn the engine? replace starter if the engine turns but does not start its either a fuel, spark, or compression problem. read up on how to check that.
