If a boyfriend has been depressed and says that you have not put enough into your relationship and you have been trying everything you can do to make him happy how do you make him happy?

You would do well to bring this to his attention, as you rightly have, then sit back and realize that through NO fault of your own, your boyfriend sets up unreasonable standards of communication that he automatically expects others to understand and use (even without instruction)... so he's being a bitch. LOL. It's good to forgive and forget and bond with people, as like is much more enjoyable when you're together with someone that really wants to be with you. :)

If the boyfriend finds out he will be hurt; the bond of trust will be broken and in his eyes the very person he trusted (his girlfriend) will be enough to make him break off the relationship with little respect for her.
