If a girl is 17 and her boyfriend is 19 and they live in Indiana can they still get married in Mississippi without parental consent?
Mississippi has no residency requirement, so, yes, even if you live in another state, you can get married in Mississippi. However, you have to have parental consent if you're *under 21*. (I did verify this today with the county clerk's office)
Every state in the U.S requires that a couple be 18 in order to marry without parental consent, with the exception of Mississippi (21) and Nebraska (19).
The only way to get married in any state at 17 without parental consent is to get court approval, but I have no idea what that would involve. And I wonder if by the time you got approval (assuming that you did) you wouldn't be 18 anyway--it's been my experience that the courts don't move incredibly quickly.
