Going to a school counseler or psychiatrist will not get other family members involved, and definitely not the welfare department. The only way this would happen is if the fifteen year old were to disclose something that was happening at home that was putting her or somebody else in danger. (ie- rape, spousal or child abuse...etc.) Then the school may contact the wellfare department or the authorities. It depends what the girl is going to a psychitrist about or a therapist about
