If after you put in a new EGR valve you still get the check engine soon light and the car will not pass inspection what could be wrong?

I'd first check repalce the EGR Pressure Feedback sensor (back of engine underneath with two hose outlets), then the EGR vacuum solenoid (left side of EGR valve).
