The neutral safety start switch is there the protection of you and others. It serves to prevent the car from lunging forward when you start it. Disabling it will cause more damage to the car, and more cost to you than just replacing the switch.
Think of it this way, is the cost of replacing the switch worth less or more than the starter you will have to replace earlier because you forgot to push in the clutch while starting the vehicle?????
Not to mention the vehicle, person or other you damage when you forget to push in the clutch pedal?????????
Basically,,,, Just replace the switch.... safety features are there for a reason.....

Pretty easy job in most vehicles unless you need to get on your back in the snow, but you can always wiggle the shifter until spring arrives. My wife has been wiggling for about six months, and she's ready to whack me. Maybe I should adjust that thing this weekend, ya think? Women!
