If an enzyme solution is saturated with substrate the most effective way to obtain a faster yield of products is to increase the enzyme concentration. An alternative is to increase the temperature.
add more substrate
the solution is already saturated with substrate. you need to add more ENZYME molecules.
Affinity decreases as the enzyme's geometry is modified by being denatured. It will no longer properly fit the active site.
Enzymes are biological molecules that catalyze (i.e., increase the rates of) chemical reactions. In enzymatic reactions, the molecules at the beginning of the process, called substrates, are converted into different molecules, called products.Almost all chemical reactions in a biological cell need enzymes in order to occur at rates sufficient for life. Since enzymes are selective for their substrates and speed up only a few reactions from among many possibilities, the set of enzymes made in a cell determines which metabolic pathways occur in that cell.
You can grow heaps of plants, i grow plants using hydroponics and i grow tomatoes, strawberries, chillis. Yes you can grow flowers using hydroponics, you can plant them when they are seeds or seedlings. yes, most plants can be grown hydroponically but some species like different kinds of substrate (growing medium) to grow in so you need to check that first but most plants will survive just fine in rockwool using hydro and the correct nutrients. I grow strawberries, lettuce, tomatoes. Remember the soil is there to support the plant and supply nutrients so therefore if you provide a substate to anchor the plant then all you have to do is supply the correct balanced feed for that type of plant.
Its a word you may have heard before: agriculture. Recently, to distunguish soil CONTAINER growing from in-the-ground growing, the following terms have surfaced: agriponics or agroponics (us) terraponics (euro) bio (euro) Funny thing is, the "experts" can't really agree what the definitions of "hydroponics" and "aeroponics" are. For example, a very popular definition of hydroponics is "a growing system in which the plants receive all of their nutrition from the irrigation solution, as opposed to the soil or potting medium." Notice no mention is made of the substate (potting medium). This means that growing plants in any commercial potting mix (which use peat, coconut, vermiculite, perlite, compost, etc - none of which are soil) with a nutrient solution is hydroponics... even if you only water once a week or whatever. Aeroponics is even more wishy-washy. My point is that there is not a clear line that distinguishes one method from the other; most systems are really a fusion of two or more methods. The definition of hydroponics is literally working water...or as used today the science of growing plants without soil. So growing plants in a commercial potting mix containing peat, coconut, vermiculite, perlite is considered hydroponics. As is growing plants in sand or gravel or any inert media. Aeroponics is a form of hydroponics, it refers to growing plants with their roots suspended in the air and being misted, which is growing plants without soil or hydroponics. In my opinion it is a term that was coined to avoid the negative connotations associated with hydroponics.
YES AND NO. Firstly: A polyepeptide is a protein, constructed of many amino acids, coded for by the genetic code. (in triplets). A cell produces many polypeptides--in other words proteins.__ These proteins (polypeptides) each have a specific purpose/role in the cell. For example, hameoglobin is a polypeptide. Proteins are basically refererd to as polypeptides, as they consist of many amino acids bounded together. POLY= MANY. Of some of the polypeptides (proteins) some are enzymes. Enzymes catalyse reactions. Their poltpeptide shape--tertiary structure enables them to do this, as they have an active site which binds to the substrate. Each enzyme catalyses a specific substate. Anyway, i think that's all you need to know.
Affinity decreases as the enzyme's geometry is modified by being denatured. It will no longer properly fit the active site.
Yes and no; its easier to use gravel with an area of moist soil for them to bury themselves. Its hard to bury themselves in bark chipping.

You have to see what kind of enzyme it is.Since enzyme is SPECIFIC of doing a certain reaction, what it matters is what the enzyme is.For an example,Starch ---amylase--> MaltoseHydrogen Peroxide ---Catalyse---> Water (H2O) + Oxygen (O2)Please refer to http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_product_of_an_enzyme
