The antifreeze is not coming from your transaxle actually it is usually from your intake ,running down the trans case. This is a very common problem that 3.1,3.4 lt have is leaks at the intake. You have to replace your intake seals. But check under your throttle body ass. to make sure its the intake and not the heater hose connection that runs underthere.

A small radiator leak can cause antifreeze to leak on your 1998 Chevy Lumina when there are not any spots on the ground. A pinhole in a hose can also cause this.

There is not a camshaft sensor on the '93 3.1 Lumina, just a crank sensor on the back side of the engine between the block and the barrel of the transaxle. Easy enough to get to from underneath the car.

I had this problem with my 1998 Lumina . sometimes it would start but not very often. Sprayed WD40 in the key hole and Blew it out with compressed air. Cleaned the chip on the key. Starts every time now.

If you have a 3.1 it is on top of the engine but if you have a 3.4 you have to take the right side tire off then remove the transaxle then it will come out through the hole where the transaxle was 3hrs repair time. I have one of these. also you do not have to drop the engine as some repair manuals tell you.

A 50/50 diluted mixture of DEX-COOL. I would recommend Havoline. You can get that at any parts store.

If the headlights are not coming on in a 1997 Lumina, it could be a problem with the headlight switch. It could also be a fuse or the headlight relay.

you likely have a leaking heater core. Is this on the inside of the vehicle? if so then it defintately is a leaking heater core

Mix half and half with distilled water (can buy pre-mixed) and pour into the overflow bottle up to the full mark.

it depends on where you bring it or if your doing it yourself.

Upper intake manifold plenum leak/crack most likely. If its blowing out coolant then you probably have a bad head gasket.

You have some kind of electrical problem that needs checked out.

27Jun09: I had this problem on a 1999 Lumina LS. The answer is a vacuum leak. Mine was near the vacuum canister that controls the vents. The hose was replaced which (with labor) cost about $100. Just got it back and it solved the problem. DRB
