Feline is to cat as serpent is to snake.

The terms 'feline' and 'serpent' come from Linnean taxonomy.

Domestic cats belong to the taxonomic subfamily Felinae of the family Felidae (true cats, including Lions, Tigers, etc.)

Members of the Felinae subfamily also include the lynx, cougar, and cheetah, among others.

Snakes belong to the suborder Serpentes of the order Squamata (scaled reptiles).

"Feline" comes from the family name Felidae. Goats are of the family Bovidae (the same family as cattle, bison, sheep, etc.) and are thus considered "Bovine."

Cat is to kitty as rabbit is to bunny. Reason: a kitty or kitten is a baby or young Cat. And a bunny is a young, or baby rabbit. :D
