I try not to eat the stone to begin with :D But seriously, relativity doesn't deny the attraction between massive bodies. It just explains a little more precisely how that attraction works.

Why we are not thrown off due to earth's revolution?

Gravity Einsteins theories of relativity say the mass of the earth bends space, and so although we ARE thrown off, we follow bent space back to Earth.

Does gravity only effect mass?

Yes, basically. Although according to the General Theory of Relativity, it will also distort space and time. The effects are not easily noticed at the relatively modest gravity of Earth.Yes, basically. Although according to the General Theory of Relativity, it will also distort space and time. What force does Earth exerts on a ball thrown into the air?

gravity

Why you are not thrown out when earth rotates?

Earth's gravity is stronger than the centrifugal force it produces.

What type of force does earth exert on a ball thrown in the air?

gravity

What is a good explanation of what gravity is?

Gravity- The force that attracts a body toward the Earth, or toward any other physical body having mass. For most purposes Newtons laws of gravity apply with minor modifications to take the general theory of relativity into account. FACT= *Gravity is measured by Acceleration.

Earth exerts an unbalanced force on a ball thrown into the air?

True. Gravity.

Why would a baseball go higher if it were thrown from the surface of the Moon than if it were thrown with the same velocity from the surface of Earth?

because of 0 gravity

Why does the materials thrown upward during meteorite collisions fall back to the moon's surface?

Our Earth's only Moon enjoys a fraction of the Earth's gravity - there is some gravity there.

How velocity of a vertically thrown ball varies with time?

The ball is affected by the force of the earth's gravity.
