If stopped on a hill how can you start moving without rolling back?
if it is straight gear use the toe and heel approach left foot on clutch right toes on gad right heel on brake works---
if you have a manual transmission vehicle, partly engage the clutch before you take your right foot off the brake. put on the parking brake whenever nesesary to keep from rolling back.
Shout "Wah-Haayyy!" and start rolling out the pastry!
Is it true that if you slide a bag of groceries along a countertop you must first overcome rolling friction?
Rolling friction results from momentary attractions between a rolling object and the surface it is rolling on, so as long as the same surface of the bag is always facing the surface, as is usually true for sliding, there is no rolling friction to consider. However, for sliding, there are two different values for friction: the static value, which is how much force must be applied to a resting object to start moving it across… Read More
A segment or curve cannot start and then start again without having stopped!
The ball could keep moving for a long time since it is rolling with little friction to stop it (Newton's Law's of Motion). It could start to slide instead of rolling, of course.
Friction opposes motion. As long as you define the direction in which the object is moving to be positive, the acceleration due to friction will be negative. If you think about it, you start out with positive speed and friction decreases the speed, so adding friction subtracted from the speed. Note: Friction is counterintuitive when you start dealing with rolling without slipping. This answer doesn't address this.
Friction. Specifically, static friction. After the object begins to move, it will still be necessary to overcome rolling or sliding friction to keep it in motion.
Is it normal for a 2004 Grand Prix engine temp to climb a few notches past half way when stopped in traffic and then go back down when you start rolling again?
Totally! It is normal for any car.
No, once you have stopped your milk will dry up pretty quickly. Even skipping a day or two without feeding or pumping you will notice a change in supply.
There must be, because without it, nothing on earth can ever start moving.
Is it possible for an object to continue to move if there is no force on it in the direction in witch its moving?
I just learned this, just because there is not force acting on it doesn't mean that it stopped moving. Although I believe that a force is always acting on an object either way. To start or to stop.
You need capital and the basic materials of you want to start your own rolling paper company.
if earth stopped rotating, we would start flying through the air because of the sudden stop, like when a car stops moving and you almost fly out of your seat. The earth turns around and around very very very fast.
It means to actually start whatever it is you're about to begin. "Rubber" refers to your vehicle's tires -- if you put the rubber onto the road, you are rolling your vehicle along the highway and moving along.
Forces are pushes or pulls. They can start objects moving, they can stop, speed up, slow down, or change the direction of moving objects. They can lift things, or cause them to turn, bend or twist. They can also prevent motion; eg. a handbrake on a car stops it from rolling down the hill.
The Rolling Stones are an English rock band that preformed in 1962.
If you start the ball rolling, you begin something. It's a sports idiom; the image is of someone starting out a ball game by tossing or rolling the ball onto the field.
The first gear in a car with a manual transmission is used to start the car moving from being stopped and to climb steep grades at a low speed.
Because there is not enough air flow over your condenser (the part that takes the heat away from your car) when your car is stopped but when you start moving again the air circulation gets better so the car cools off
This means that the ball is rolling towards the player and the player places their foot behind or on top of the ball to stop the ball from rolling past them. More advanced players usually try to tap the ball a little bit in front of them so that they can start moving with it instead of just stopping it under them.
Any sport involves physics. Without friction, for example, you would not be able to start (or stop) moving.
They will start rolling into a ball and start trying to bite the stomach area
You stir the paddles and the wheel start moving.
1965 is when the Air Campaign "Rolling Thunder" began against North Vietnam.
I had hesitation when moving off from a cold start in my S60 year 2004. I was advised to turn the ignition key so that the dashboard lights up but not all the way so that youstart the engine. Wait until the lights on the dashboard go out (the engine symbol remains light). Then, without taking the ignition key back to the starting position (ie from the same position as you stopped previously),turn the ignition… Read More

If the force of gravitation between the earth and the moon were to suddenly disappearthe moon would start to move?
The moon is moving (around the sun) IF the Earth's gravity suddenly stopped, the moon would continue to go around the sun. IF all gravity stopped, the moon would travel in a straight line in whatever direction it was going in at the time.
If a running Harley gets laid on a side, either while moving or stopped/idling, the tip sensor kills the engine. the ignition switch must be cycled off then back on to start.
If it's a standard shift transmission you can "pop" start it by rolling down an incline, push the clutch in, put the trans in 2nd or 3rd gear, turn the ignition on, release the clutch and away you go. If it's an automatic, you're screwed.
To start moving on a ripstick you must stand on it. Then you start twisting your hips. If you do this correctly, the RipStick should start twisting and then, start moving forward.
Well, if it's a manual transmission, you can put it in gear and start rolling it for a compression start.
You start by figuring out what's wrong with it. If the motor still buzzes, then it still has power. So you need to see if the motor is failing, if the seat came off the track, or if some component has seized and is preventing the seat from moving.

There are various instances in physics where what is expected is not true. For example, when you are holding a bucket of water and you want to lower it, you wouldn't push it downward, but you'd rather push up less but still be pushing up. Also, though friction is what causes things to stick, it is also what causes things to move. Without friction, car wheels would not be able to start rolling or to… Read More
I have the same noise. It is very strange, because when I am stopped, the noise disappears, it appears when I start moving, but it does not increase as speed increases (that is what I would expect). It increases the frequency when I accelerate but only while moving. I suspect it could be related to the serpentine belt. or to the belt tensioner. JCT

The puppies start moving on week 8 of the pregnancy as the begin to get in place for birth.
I got my septum piercing 2 days ago but its moving without touching it until it touch my nose is that normal?
It's normal for the jewellery to "free up" and start moving as the healing progresses, this is not uncommon and a sign that the healing is coming along well.
In Basketball? By moving the wii remote up and down fast. Note: When you get the ball after a goal has been scored or has been stopped, you may not dribble until you have passed the ball to a team member. Then the dribbling may start.
Use a pair of pliers to open the can. Alternately any small piece of thin hard metal can be used to roll the can lid off if you get it tight when you start rolling back the lid
Objects start out as either a rest or moving. If they are at rest, they require a force to be applied for them to start moving. If they are moving, they require a force to either slow them down or to make them stop. That means that once something starts moving, it will move forever, unless a force slows it down. The catch is that the force can be friction.
Yes, due to momentum. For example, an object traveling in space might have no forces acting on it but still be moving through space. However, the question might also be asked, how did this object start moving in the first place? If the object was created in a stationary state, then unbalanced forces would have to act upon it to get it moving. The object would have to have been created while moving in order… Read More

Consider the gravitational pull of the earth and acceleration due to gravity. When you throw a ball in the air, at the highest point, it is stopped and has a velocity of 0. However, if the acceleration of the ball was also 0, then the ball would not be able to come back down to the earth. In order for the ball to come back down, there must be an acceleration. This acceleration is the… Read More
