I dont think you can go into labor just because the head is low. When your ready to go into labor. Toward the end of pregnancy, the uterus reaches maximum size, the placenta begins to age, and the level of the hormone progesterone begins to drop. Your body becomes more sensitive to the chemical oxytocin, which triggers labor contractions. Just because the head is low wont induce labor any sooner...best of luck! http://www.ynhh.org/maternity/labor/index.html

You are 38 weeks 3-4cm dilated 75 percent effaced babys head is station 2 plus and just lost your mucus plug are you close to labor?

Especially if this is your first pregnancy, your body could take an unpredictable amount of time to get ready for labor. Generally, loss of the mucus plug means labor will start soon, but it could still be several days or more. It is not uncommon for a woman to be 2cm dilated for at least a few weeks at the end of pregnancy.

36 weeks pregnant with 2nd child - bad braxton hicks some that feel like labor pains - midwife says the babys head is real low - should I expect to go into labor soon?

I am 40 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby and experience strong braxton hicks for about 4 weeks. The babys head is on zero since 3 weeks and i dilated to 3 cm about 2 weeks ago, and i am still waiting. If you still have your mucus plug I would guess you have another 2 - 3 weeks... but who knows, the little treasures come when they are ready and not us! Good luck and hang in there

After 2 weeks of labor is the baby dead?

please elaborate...what do you mean by labor, for 2 weeks? Labor doesnt kill a baby, so if one is really in labor for 2 weeks, ( which I've never heard of) there's no reason for a baby to be dead. however, 2 weeks of labor might kill the mom ! Just joking. Seriously though, more information is needed to answer this question properly.

Im 35 weeks pregnant ive been 2cm dialated for almost 2 weeks and you want to induce your labor is it a good idea to induce your labor by having sex or how should you induce your labor?

sex and walking is good try squats and stairs but i would wait till you are at least 38 weeks, just so make sure your babys lungs are fully developed p.s. i have herd male sperm helps soften the cervics
