So the cocoon in the core could not exist due to pressure being to great in that part of the mantle. Also the mantle is a solid, again due to the pressure it is under, and magma is only formed near the lithosphere. Lastly the Magnetic field created in the earths core is due to the liquid metal of the outer core moving across the solid metal inner core. So no the cocoon in the movie The Core could have it own isolated EM field.
