If the wheels are aligned and the rotors turned and you have new wheels what else could be causing a Toyota Camry to wobble while driving?
I had a similar problem on my Mitsubishi Galant when I bought new Mags. It seems that a plastic bushing is needed on the HUB to center the wheel. This happens, sometimes, with after market wheels. Hope this helps. bad tires or improper tire balance could cause wobbling.
calipers may not be depressing all the way , causing the brakes to drag and heat up rotors causing them to warp + another possibility is tightening down the rotor TOO tight onto the hub- or - not having it turned and rubbing uneven- good idea to turn the rotors onn each brake change if you have been just leaving the rotors on- and changing pads- this may be the issue- 2dynamic
To replace the pads, just remove the calipers, retract the pistons, and set nre pads in place of the old ones. To replace the rotors, remove the old ones and set new rotors in their place. Before driving the vehicle, repeatedly depress the brake pedal several times until it feels firm like it works. Make sure you spray the new rotors with brake parts cleaner thuroughly after you install them!
Why does your Ford F-250 have a grinding rubbing and vibration coming from the front left side while driving?
When you step on the breaks the reverse light comes on and the breaks make a crackling sound in your 2000 Toyota Camry?
I had fought this problem for the past two years. Two years ago I took my 1997 Toyota 4 Runner into a shop with the brakes pulsating and the stearing wheel shaking badly. They replaced the rotors, pads and did various other things. Two weeks later I was back in the shop with the pulsating/shaking again. They machined the rotors and I was on my merry way. So I thought! A month later the brakes…
It depends on your driving style and the condition of the calipers. If you ride the brakes or otherwise drive in such a manner as to cause the brakes to overheat, the rotors will warp prematurely. If you are constantly in stop-and-go driving conditions you will wear out the brake pads and rotors much faster than someone who drives greater distances and seldom uses the brakes. I've seen some people who get little more than…
remove rotors on 97 Camry Hi, I want to get my front rotors resurfaces as there is a vibration when braking. I have changed brake pads on my car before soi am sure i i know how to remove the calipers and need some assistance and further what bolts and nuts do i need to removed to pull the rotor out. Thanks
If you notice shaking as you apply the brakes this is generally caused by warped brake rotors. This happens as the brake rotors wears. Sometimes people take shortcuts by just replacing the brake pads and machining the rotors but as the rotor becomes thinner it cannot absorb the high heat that they operate in. Most likely this is the problem.
anywhere between $140 at a local shop who will also resurface the rotors and replace the brakes to 60 at a dealership. Note: these prices do not include the price of the rotors. If your rotors have already been resurfaced once they are more than likely need to be changed also. Add another $50- $100.
