It can happen let me explain without to much to read... There are two types of blood test that a doctor will do.. One is called the quality blood test (and to be honest you might as will buy the over the counter hpt).. the second one is Beta which counts the hcg in your system to determine if you are below 5 or 5 and higher... So make sure you question your doctor which one he is going to use before you spend 50 buck for an 5 dollar deal at a drug store. Good luck to you all
I am right there with you. When my husband and i first thought that i was pregnant i took the home test. Postive! great! we went to the hospital and did the blood test and it was negative. i went home upset but not convinced. i took another home test and still positive. i called my doctor then and asked why my home test were positive but the blood work was negative. She told me to come back in and they would do an ultra sound to be sure. YEP i was pregnant, 6 weeks! they were never able to tell me why my blood work comes back negative. but i now have a healthly lil boy born right on time. ONLY because i didnt believe them from the beginning. YOU KNOW YOUR BODY better than ANYONE else if you think something is different you're most likely right. Dont give up!
I am in the same boat, i took a blood test and it was negative, took a hpt and its positive have all the signs of pregnant, sore breast, tired, cranky and feel pregnant. I don't feel like I have PMS I know the difference, my period is not due till Friday so I will wait it out and see, I know my body and I know this is not PMS.
Pregnancy is a possibility if you still don't have your period within another week take another at home test if it is still showing negative make an appointment with your doctor and have them do a blood test hope everything works out Good Luck and God BLess!!!
A negative test could also be the result of a phantom pregnancy. A phantom pregnancy is where you basically fool your mind and body into thinking it is pregnant. You will still experience pregnancy symptoms but you are not actually pregnant; it is al psychological Some women have even been able to lactate during a phantom pregnacny. The causes of a phantom pregnancy are either paranoia of being pregnant or having an extreme desire to become pregnant. There are several things that can contribute to a negative pregnancy test even if you are pregnant. Some medications can give you a false negative, the timing of the test can affect the results. If you did not follow directions properly; if you let the test sit for too long the results may read negative after a while. It is important to read the results within the amount of time given on the instructions of that particular pregnancy test you bought. If you did not perform the test properly (example: you drank a lot of fluids before taking the test, which can dilute your urine). Etc To ensure the best results: Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results Take the test no more than 1 day before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip Check the results in the window frame of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test.
there are a lot of issues that contribute to a woman not getting or having a late cycle, a lot of stress is the prime reason, if she is athletic, and even some medications. There are also other medical reasons that a woman would not have her period.
Unfortunately ALL pregnancies are different. I have heard of women who have had periods their entire pregnancy, I have heard of women who have had their periods for a few months, some women spot in the beginning, some women spot through their whole pregnancy. I know that this didn't answer the question but you may be.
Hello. If the blood test you had performed was the Quantitative Beta Hcg then there is no chance you are pregnant. If the blood test was the Qualiative Beta Hcg which gives you a yes or no answer, then there is a small possiblity you may of been tested too early and be pregnant. In this case, you need to repeat the blood test in two weeks. Or alternatively, see your doctor to rule out a hormonal imbalance.
hi, im 18 and my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex several times around two weeks after my period, i had no symptoms of being pregnant until i suspected it when my period was over a week late then i got my period it seemed to be normal then turned to a brownish colour towards the end. its been over a week now since my period and i have a swolen stomach and almost uncomftorable and everynight for the last few days i have been feeling so sick and even vomiting i cant stand the smell of perfumes or cleaners. is it possible i could be pregnant even if i had my period??
Yes. Leave it another 2 weeks and take another test
Sometimes periods vary in timing and amounts of flow, without apparent reason. Since it arrived and your test is negative, it is most probable that pregnancy is not part of the scenario.
yes, wait a while and if it doent come retake the tset, or take a blood test, its more accurate.
No you can't be pregnant and still have your period. You can have a light bleed but not a period. As for the whole negative test thing, it could be a false negative.
yes you are pregnant
If you have had a negative blood test, it is very unlikely that you are pregnant
This could be a sign of pregnancy, It would be classed as a very early pregnancy and it would be best to wait until you are next due for your period and if you don't come on and your test is still negative then it is recommended to go to your g.p
If you are genuinely having a period, then the test will come out negative because you cannot be pregnant. However, some women think they are menstruating when they may be bleeding for some reason in early pregnancy. The test then could either be positive or negative depending on the condition of the baby.
You could be pregnant, but if I were you, I'd go straight to my doctor.
No. If you got a period after July, then you did not get pregnant in July.
Depends. Why aren't you having periods? A period is not necessary for pregnancy. Some women are "constantly" pregnant; that is they get pregnant after each birth before they have a period. (Each period is the result of not getting pregnant.)
Yes, you could be. Take a pregnancy test. If the pregnancy test is negative and then your next period doesn't arrive or is abnormal, go and see the doctor
no because your period controls your pregnancy.
You could by a small chance, but, you might also imagine the symptoms (phantom pregnancy). Or your pregnancy is too small at the moment. Try testing again in a week or two (when your period hasn't started). If still negative and you got the symptoms and no period then go see a doctor.
Yes you can
