Starting out a relationship on the slower side and even becoming each other's best friends is the start of a beautiful friendship. Yes, I would say you both have a lot going for you and no, it's not a crush.
My first husband and I married in our early 20s. I was obviously attracted to him by his looks (handsome) and it certainly clouded my vision. We were married 3 1/2 years before I divorced him. While I was so busy getting caught up in how good looking he was (I didn't mean too and was just young) I missed all the signs of what a miserable personality he had. I eventually met my 2nd husband who is good looking (but not a #10) and the most loving human being I have ever met. We were certainly attracted to each other, but were best friends and it turned into a romance full of passion and we've been married 34 years and although the old pilot light is dimming a little, that passion is there off and on and we are still each other's best friends and also lovers. If I sound smug in my relationship then I am, because I know I'm one lucky woman to have found a good, honest man that loves me for who I am and not what I look like.
