for a while... 24 points? which state are you in. California here, you get 1 pt per infraction (moving violation) and 2 for a DUI. 4 pts a year here will get it banned for a year... you have to talk to the judge there is not "set" time... its up to the judges discretion but you can get features like a permit to drive to and from work
