It sounds like your girlfriend needs to take a chill pill. Tell her to grow up or get out. You are a great man and you deserve to have friends. This is coming from a 24 year old wife. So I know men. Tell her that you are friends with your ex and you will continue to be friends with her and if she don't like it, she can leave. Or if you are really in love with her, then you can go to counseling. Either way, I wish you all the luck in the world:) Getting fits of the 'shrieking ab-dabs' is bullying and almost a form of abuse. Don't give in to a bully-girl, just as you wouldn't give in to a bully-boy! What's more, if she's emotionally stuck in the kindergarten playground, that should set off all your own alarm bells: it's a very bad sign indeed.
