∙ 15y agoYes, my first pregnancy was an eptopic pregnancy i took the at home test and it showed positive then i went to my obgyn at the time they gave me a urine test and it came back positive also it wasnt till my tube almost bursted that we found out that it was an eptopic almost three months into the pregnancy! i was in so much pain the entire time and i kept hearing that it was normal that i was in pain due to my small body streching! if you think you may be having an eptopic pregnancy demand to have an early ultrasound it is the only way to ensure the baby is safely in the uterus. it is said (but i dont know how true it is) that you are 70% more likely to have another eptopic after already having one but i am now pregnant again and just hit the 35 week mark! so good luck to you i really hope you dont have to go threw what i had to.

Hello there. Yes you may very well be pregnant. A pregnancy test will only turn positive once HCG has been found in your urine. BUT there needs to be ENOUGH HCG in your urine to make a positive test result. Depending on the pregnancy test, they usually look for 5MIU - 50MIU. If you had 49MIU of HCG in your urine and did a test that looks for 50MIU it would be negative. The same thing applies to the Labatory urine pregnancy test. When they did the test you probably didn't have enough HCG in your urine to give you a positive. You need to have a blood test. Urine tests are NOT reliable and give negative results when women are indeed pregnant. See your doctor for a Quantitative Beta HCG pregnancy test. Good luck.
