Certainly! An ectopic pregnancy is not a condition that affects your reproductive organs such as endometriosis. You have a 1 in 2 chance of conception if you had no problems prior to your ectopic pregnancy. About 60% conceive successfully after an ectopic pregnancy and about 30% choose not to try conceiving again. If you do conceive successfully after having an ectopic pregnancy, it is important to notify your doctor at the first visit of this so that he/she can pay special attention to any warning signs and help you and your baby have a successful future pregnancy.

Yes, my first pregnancy was an eptopic pregnancy i took the at home test and it showed positive then i went to my obgyn at the time they gave me a urine test and it came back positive also it wasnt till my tube almost bursted that we found out that it was an eptopic almost three months into the pregnancy! i was in so much pain the entire time and i kept hearing that it was normal that i was in pain due to my small body streching! if you think you may be having an eptopic pregnancy demand to have an early ultrasound it is the only way to ensure the baby is safely in the uterus. it is said (but i dont know how true it is) that you are 70% more likely to have another eptopic after already having one but i am now pregnant again and just hit the 35 week mark! so good luck to you i really hope you dont have to go threw what i had to.

False pregnancy test with ectopic pregnancy?

Meaning "negative pregnancy test" with ectopic pregnancy: Any test can fail, urine test, blood simple test, and quantitative HGC test. Also the timing of the test versus the diagnosis by image (ultrasound). Ectopic pregnancy is only diagonsed with image, ultrasound, CT, MR.

On the results of what test results is diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy usually made?

presentation of symptoms, a positive pregnancy test, and detection of a pregnancy outside of the uterus by means of ultrasonography

You do not get your periods nor is your pregnancy test positive since 6 weeks from date Is it tubular pregnancy?

I had an ectopic (tubular) pregnancy, and my home pregnancy test was positive by 5 weeks. I would go to your obgyn and get a blood test. They can check hormone levels to see if you are pregnant, how far along you may be, and if they feel it may be ectopic. Good Luck!

If you have a positive test but nothing is seen on the scan?

Does a pregnancy test read negative when you have a ectopic pregnancy?

an ectopic pregnancy has the same symptoms and signs as a regular pregnancy and you still develop the hormones you would with a normal pregnancy. The human chorionic gonadotropin levels are what cause the pregnancy test to read positive. All pregnancies have hcg levels that should be doubling every other day in early gestation.. an ectopic pregnancy may test negative if taken too early, or too late because the body will eventually,(around 6-11 weeks) begin to try to expel the pregnancy when hormone levels begin to drop when the fetus is no longer viable and must be removed Hope it helps!

Can certain illnesses give you a positive pregnancy test result if you aren't pregnant?

I am assuming you are referring to a urine pregnancy test which tests for Beta hCG. There are also blood tests, which are more specific, for pregnancy. The urine beta hCG test may be positive for other reasons than pregnancy. Certain cancers of the testicles and the ovary are diseases that can provide a positive pregnancy test. Also, a lot of blood or protein in the urine can give a false positive on a pregnancy test. There are also some medications that have been reported to cause false positives such as some anti-convulsants and anti-parkinson medications. Overall, though, the urine pregnancy test is very accurate. Any female who tests positive on a urine pregnancy test should arrange for an appointment to see a physician for follow-up.

Pregnancy blood test is positive but the urine is negative?

A serum hCG will be positive for pregnancy at 25mIU/ml, the urine test, although just as accurate needs a stronger concentration of 50mIU/ml to 100mIU/ml depending on the brand - this means the serum (blood) test will test positive 2 to 3 days sooner than urine.

If you have a tubal pregnancy will it read on a pregnancy test?

Most pregnancy tests test for the presence of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) in the woman's blood or urine. Ectopic pregnancies are usually picked up by home pregnancy tests however it is possible that do to lower levels of hCG that sometimes result from ectopic pregnancies you could get a false negative. Ectopic pregancies can potentially become very dangeros, if you suspect that you may have an ectopic pregnancy even if a home pregnancy test is negative, it would be wise to see a physician. Are you pregnant if a home pregnancy test came back positive and a laboratory urine test was inconclusive and why would they be different?

Hello there. Yes you may very well be pregnant. A pregnancy test will only turn positive once HCG has been found in your urine. BUT there needs to be ENOUGH HCG in your urine to make a positive test result. Depending on the pregnancy test, they usually look for 5MIU - 50MIU. If you had 49MIU of HCG in your urine and did a test that looks for 50MIU it would be negative. The same thing applies to the Labatory urine pregnancy test. When they did the test you probably didn't have enough HCG in your urine to give you a positive. You need to have a blood test. Urine tests are NOT reliable and give negative results when women are indeed pregnant. See your doctor for a Quantitative Beta HCG pregnancy test. Good luck.
