No. The only way you can get in trouble is she was staying with you. If you are no where around her then you should be fine. Beware though, the parents can get the courts to have a order for your phone records and if they find out you have been talking to her and not telling them any information, then you can get in trouble.

Your girl friend wants to runaway She is 18 and out of school Can she still get in trouble?

For the most part, she cannot legally get in trouble for leaving (because she is an adult and out of school, it is no longer considered running away).

If I'm 18 still in school yet i left my house because of family problems I've been living with my friend parents for 2 weeks now and my dad is threatening to call the cops im in Utah am i a runaway?

Were you a minor, then yes this would be an issue. You could be termed a runaway and your friend's parents could be charged with harboring a runaway. As you are 18, of the age of majority, you are free to live where you can.

Can a police officer force a runaway to go home in Washington state if the runaway is found at a friends house?

yes, by law the officer will take them to the juvenile corrections center and your parents will then decide to leave you in there until you 18 or come pick you up themselves. If the friend that the runaway is found with is 18 or older you parents could press criminal charges against them for aiding a runaway.

What do you do if you get drunk when you are 12 and you are at your friend's house but your mom will pick you up soon?

Expect punishment from your parents because you know what you did is wrong. Your friend's parents could get in legal trouble.

If you run away and you stay with your friend can that friend's parents get in trouble for letting you live there?

Yes, they can. I can't tell you what could happen to them, because I'm not sure, but I do know that the parents can get in trouble. I mean, they probably won't get arrested, but the case might have to go to court or something.

What should you do when you think you're the cause of your best friend's parents putting her out?

You may be second guessing the fact that you were the cause of your friend being kicked out of their parents home. Generally there is more to the story and no doubt there are some problems between your friend and their parents. Since this is bothering you then go and talk to your friend's parents and express how you feel. If anything they will admire you for facing them.
