If you are too skinny and eating a lot of food does not seem to help can starving yourself instead actually make you gain weight?

no starving yourself won't help it will make you lose more weight what you need to do is find out what foods make you gain weight like bread and meats with fat on them high protein foods but don't starve yourself that won't help but that's what you really need to do eat high protein fat foods and see if that doesn't work don't just eat because if your tall you have alot of metabolism and your body is just working the fats from the food around your body that's going to eventually giving you shape and definition don't worry about it. Don't starve yourself! eat small meals throughout the day.

If you are making yourself throw up, then you probably do have an eating disorder (eating disorder does not necessarily mean starving yourself), if it is coming up on its own something else might be wrong and you should go see your doctor.

Yea but there's no way you can keep that diet up without dieing. You'll cheat, and when you do it'll all come back cuz ur body thinks its starving. Instead of trying to starve yourself, just keep eating how you already do but exercise instead.

if you starve yourself for a week you lose from 4-5 pounds depending on your metabalism but i wouldn't recomend starving yourself after time it is no longer efective as your body stores fat when it realises you're not eating i would try the special k diet it is very effective and more safe than starving yourself

You can loose weight faster by eating little amounts of food in moderation instead of starving your self. Starving yourself will cause the body to go into starvation mode and very slowly eat away at muscle not allowing you to loose weight fast just muscle. In about four days of starving yourself i would say up to about 5-6 pounds, If you eat once in the morning and once in the afternoon id say up to 8 pounds, the more smaller meals you eat through out the day the better chance you have at loosing weight
