If you bought a 1989 Nissan 240sx with 140000 miles on it so it ran pretty good until the clutch went out now the parts and labor will cost you 500 will it be worth fixing a car this old?
I would say so - if the car runs well enough, $500 isn't a lot to fix a clutch either.
First, you try bleeding the clutch. You open up the valve, have a friend pump on the clutch pedal, and tighten it back up when the clutch pedal is depressed. Repeat until the clutch feels normal. If this doesn't take care of it, there is no fixing the clutch - the clutch disc and pressure plate will have to be replaced.
How do i fix my truck its a 5 speed ford ranger and when i go to start it it makes this grinding noise in around the transmission and i just changed the clutch 2 weeks ago and it now it wont start?
YES!!! THERE IS A RECALL ON ALL 2002-2006 NISSAN ALTIMA 2.5'S. THE ECM NEEDS TO BE REPROGRAMMED!!! THIS IS A WEBSITE THAT TELLS YOU A LITTLE MORE OF ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE THAT USE TO BE RECALLED, BUT THEY ARE NOT FIXING THIS PROBLWM ANYMORE, EVEN THOUGH IT IS CONTINUING TO HAPPEN TO MANY NISSAN ALTIMA'S. http://www.lemonauto.com/complaints/nissan/altima.htm
Absolutely not. The clutch should be between the motor and the transmission, you should never have to open up the transmission to change the clutch unless you have one of those dual-clutch semi-auto paddle shifter cars, and then I wouldn't even try fixing that unless I had fairly extensive transmission experience, which, if you're asking this, I'm guessing you don't. Changing a clutch can be fairly easy on some cars, and fairly hard on others…
The cost to replace a water pump thermostat and coolant hose, on a 2001 Nissan Frontier. The cost all depends on which route is taken to fix these items. Going to a garage, or shop will cost you money for the parts, and money for the labor. Fixing it without a garage is going to cost you the money for the part and time. The cost of each part would be dependent on the store…
fixing would be used as a verb. It would say something like: I am fixing the computer right now. Fixing: She was fixing to buy a new car, but was stopped by her husband. The teacher found that fixing each students mistakes can be a tedious job. The kids discovered some unique rocks while fixing their bikes. We are fixing to go to the mall. Would you like to go with us?
2000 Dodge Neon that blows the brake light fuse most times when you start it They will work forever if you replace the fuse while it is running but most times when you restart the car the fuse blows?
I had the same problem on my srt-4. The wiring harness for the brake lights is located behind the clutch pedal, so when I push the clutch in hard it would rub the wires and wore a bare spot on it. So when I would hold the clutch in for a long time it would blow the fuse for the brake lights. I ended up fixing the bare wire and relocated the harness above the…
I recently bought a 92 Buick Park Ave, with one that didn't work. He told me he inquired about fixing it, contacted a dealer, they said only a licensed Buick dealer can do that, and it costs about $300. I haven't checked myself, but the person I bought the car from is my friend, so I doubt its not true.
