yes u can still be struck by lighting, if you can hear it or not.
Thunder is sound waves. Sound waves hit us all of the time. If you mean lightning, then you would be toast... literally! thunder is the sonic boom produced by lighting so depending on how close you are to the lightning strike if you're close enough it can lead to temporary deafness or worse.
The sharp crack you hear from thunder when it is close it the electricity in the air.
The lightning is electromagnetic waves that travel through the clouds. when these waves meet with with another set of its kind they create a lightning bolt of some shape. The thunder ia like a sonic boom but not quite. Thunder is made by when the eletromagnetic waves have touched. They sort of crash in to each other. In that case creating lightning and to the following the thunder!!
It really depends on the thunder. A tremor or volcanic eruption can sound like distant thunder. The thunder of a close by lightning strike can sound like a bomb or grenade.
I read somewhere that "To dream about being struck by lightning symbolizes irreversible changes occurring in your life. It is a transformation." Hope that helps!! I recently had the same dream, and it scared me half to death!! I am going to be going off to junior high soon after home-schooling for 3 years. So that made sense.
Thunder, as a pressurized sound wave, can hurt your ears, scare children and animals, and set off some car alarms. Since it is caused by the rapid heating of air produced by a nearby lightning strike, it can also alert you that it is no longer safe to be outdoors: if you're close enough to hear thunder, you're close enough to be at risk. +++ . You don't actually need the adjective "pressurised" because sound IS a train of pressure waves. . As for being "at risk" (from?) because you are close enough to hear the thunder, the time to worry is when you are below the thunder-cloud and there is little interval between lightning and thunder. The sound can carry for many miles, far beyond the danger area.

Thunder will not cause blindness, it may cause hearing damage if the lightning strike is very close.

it means that they are so close that when it thunder it lightings
well, if your far away then no. you wouldn't be able to hear the thunder. if how ever, you are close to the thunder storm you will hear thunder.
If thunder and lightning occur together close to you, you are dangerously close to a lightning bolt.

It means your too close to the lightning!
There could be no Thunderstorm without Lightning. The wind cannot blow so fast as to cause thunder. Lightning is caused by electrical charged clouds getting close enough to ground to create the streak of lightning you see. The electrical jumping from cloud to ground creates the thunder.
