On some cars there is a door that opens and lets cold air through the heater core thence giving warm to the interior of the car. Something in the operation of this door is apparently off. It could be as simple as an adjustment on the temp. control switch, but some doors are operated by air or electricity.
Have you flushed the heater core?
flush the system and change thermostat, this should fix problem. I flushed mine and i changed coolant and thermostat,it is now fine.
have you flushed your radiator or changed the thermostat it could be stuck
Hi there, if you have flushed any engine and have changed thermostate there are only two options that are left; (providing that there are no leaks) 1. the thermostat is faulty / 2. your water pump is broken and needs to be replaced
Sounds like thermostat is not opening and needs replacing
It could be one of many things.......radiator fans notworking/low on coolant/stuck thermostat/ radiator may need to be flushed......
it could be the thermostat needs to be changed or the heater core needs to be flushed out.these would be the cheaper things to try first.
How did you change the thermostat?
Test gauge function with a mechanical gauge to get actual engine temp.
Either the water pump impeller is loose on it's shaft, or you have a leaking head gasket.
you probably need a new radiator and get the engine back flushed while your at it.
I have a promblem with that too, my car would overheat very fast, it was a faulty NEW thermostat. It still runs hot, I think I need a new water pump
Check your electric cooling fan
You might have bad actuator that opens and closes airways.
I have changed heater core, water pump, thermostat, the fon works well but only blows cold air plus i have flushed the system.
hello Can you tell me why the heater on my 2002 toyota yaris isnt working? Ive changed the thermostat, flushed out the radiator and also the heater matrix behind the dashboard is getting red hot as well
Thermostat stuck open. Replace.
sounds like you need a new heater matrix.
I did a manual flush on the heater core with water from a hot water tank. I flushed a ton of crap out but did have to end up replacing the water pump.
THe fluid will need flushed and changed.
If your radiator isnt leaking and car is having a over heating problem and coolant spewing out. Chances are your thermostat needs replaced. possible the radiator needs to be flushed. But more likley its thermostat
change your thermostat.
its 2009 you punk, why dont you buy something newer...you better of replacing yourself.
sounds like your thermostat is stuck closed, maybe some of the debris loosened from the flush is blocking it.
