Adjacent Side / Hypotenuse = Natural Cosine of the Angle.

For example:

Adjacent Side=20cm / Hypotenuse=40cm = 0.5

Look up 0.5 in a Natural Cosine table and look back to the degrees on the left margin, you'll find 60... 60 degrees is the angle between the hypotenuse and the adjacent side.
