The insurance company cannot charge you once your policy is over. However, you may get charges for overdue payments, or if you signed up for automatic renewal.

Payment of insurance is nothing but the premium paid towards the insurance policy. The premium amount includes the charge of coverage per unit (for example, the charge of coverage for $1000 might be $10. So, to have an insurance coverage for $10,000 the charge of coverage would be $100) plus the expenses incurred by the insurance company for the policy.

In general, all rental companies charge for the 2nd driver or spouse. As the renter, you receive no additional benefit from this fee. If you have another car with insurance, it's very likely that your own insurance policy will cover both you and your spouse without purchasing extra insurance or additional driver coverage from the rental company. *Check with your own insurance company to be certain.

It depends on the Insurance company. somne do not charge for minor violations, while others charge only of you have more than one minor, and then there are those which charge for anything. Unless, I knew the company I would not be able to say if your company will charge or not. No company will charge you a higher premium during an existing policy period, how, ever they have the right to re-evaluate your risk factors if taking out a new policy or at renewal.

An insurance policy and a will are two separate things. The policy is a contract between the insured and the insurance company. The beneficiary of the insurance policy is spelled out in the contract. The insurance company will pay the insurance proceeds to whoever is listed to receive the proceeds. The proceeds from an insuranc policy can be paid into the estate of the deceased and disbursed according to the terms of the will. The issue is who is listed as being the beneficiary of the insurance policy.
