Yes, The stop piece holes will be visible. Most people either leave the holes or will remove the ferrel and plug it with a dow. Keep in mind that it will still need to be stained to match the guitar.

No, you won't have to, "cut any wood." You may, however, need to drill a few holes, depending on the Bigsby Model you install. Some models require screws i the face of the guitar and others don't. But, "cutting wood?" LOL. No.

im answering this assuming you mean "semi-hollow". yes. on most semi-hollows you can install a tremolo system known as a bigsby. they are mostly featured on gretsch guitars. a bigsby allows for the same functions as a Floyd rose type tremolo but without a locking nut (a locking nut preserves your tuning stability) and it can only change your pitch by a semi tone or two. installing a bigsby MAY require (and probably will) permanent modifications to your guitars body including drilling new holes for the posts and probably gaping holes left behind from the previous hardware (bridge and tailpiece) P.s. if you mean ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC then no you can not. hope this helps - Kyse

I'd take it off if you can and replace it , a beginner tremolo system is like 6$ on ebay just make sure it looks like yours. if you do get the tremolos arm off of the guitar they are like 2$ I'm on ebay a lot :)
