no you will have a little dent but the hole will completely close up unless you continue to put the piercing back into the hole to keep it open
Leaving it out for over a day could close the hole
A word to the wise, keep it or take it out but don't screw around with taking it out and putting it back in, you can become very sick due to secondary infections through stupidity. If you don't want it take it out and leave it out.

∙ 12y agoThat depends on how your body heals. If it closes pretty quickly if you take it out every now and then theres a chance that it could close up completely. If you're really determined to close it, you could get it pierced with a larger needle to get rid of the scar tissue that's keeping it open.

This is normal and just part of the healing phase for your tongue piercing, this will go away in a few days.

No a navel banana bell is not designed nor intended to be used in a tongue piercing. Tongue piercings are done with a straight barbell, the curve in the navel bell will cause trouble with the tongue piercing as well as being too short.

Well actually that's not a good thing, the barbell was too short for the piercing to allow for swelling, the expansion of the piercing hole is and indication of some sensitivity to the metal or the aftercare product you are using. Consider seeing your piercer tomorrow to have them take a look.
How long do I have to keep a tongue piercing in before you can take it out to hide it from my parents?
I took mine out about a week in and replaced it with a clear bar, but they tell you you should wait a minimum of 2 wks before you remove the original bar. You can't keep the bar out or the hole will close. It's only a matter of minutes before it will close so I don't advise you to take it out and keep it out. Just replace it with a tongue retainer. You can google them. Also, it doesn't matter how long you've had the piercing, your tongue heals quickly and the hole will close. I know someone who had their tongue piercing for 10 yrs but when she took her tongue ring out it only took about half an hour before the hole started closing.
