Can you be pregnant when you have and IUD and having periods and is the IUD causing me to have my period?

You can, but it's very rare. Often, women spot during the first few days/weeks of pregnancy at around the time when their period would have been because the fertilised egg implants in the womb lining and ruptures some blood vessels and many women mistake this for their period.

∙ 15y agoIts rare but ,yes, my ex wife had three regular periods and missed the forth, after calling to the doctors, she got told that she was 3 month pregnant or expecting twins, after going for a scan, she found out she was 3 month pregnant, even though she had 3 regular periods before hand.

∙ 11y agoSince the IUD is to prevent pregnancy, getting it after you're pregnant would serve no purpose whatsoever. It would also be harmful to the baby, and possibily to you, too, if you did.
