You should ask them about their hobbies. People love to know someone cares. If you have the same interests, its best to stick with things you both agree on. What lessons do they like? Who are their friends? What do their parents do? What do they want to be when they are older? Play some games to get to know them. Also, you could do stuff like ask them not just yes or no questions like the desert island game - what 10 things would you take on a desert island? Hope this helped ^.^
