They will pay for a rental car for the normal time of repair for what was being fixed on your vehicle. If your vehicle was not drivable they will also pay for the time that the vehicle was out of service. This does not mean that they are responsible for a rental car just because you didn't want to drive it with a dent. You should have gotten all this set up with them before you ever got the rental car or as soon as you spoke with them at the beginning of the claim.
