Buy an Hydro-electric Salt absorber and use it at least once every two days (or as required). Um, sounds expensive. You might try draining off a small portion of the water and refill the pool with fresh water. This may have to be done more if you did not dilute with enough fresh water.
The only way out is to replace some of the water with fresh water.
We have a salt water pool and have no eye problems. Either you have too much saLt or chlorine. Take a sample to a local pool store for analysys.
Salt water pools should be maintained between 3000 and 4000 ppm. More salt than this will cause excessive scaling around the tiles and salt cell. Less salt will not produce enough chlorine gas to sanitize the pool.
add acid
A properly dosed salt water pool should be better on your sinuses then a freshwater pool. as it is more in tune withe the chemistry of your body. Salt concentrations in salt water pools are about the same as that found in your tears. Perhaps you should check that your chlorininator is not set too high. too much chlorine can lead to irritation in places like the sinuses.
Drain some water out, a little at a time, and add fresh water.
No I wouldn't use it for cooking. Get yourself some good sea salt.
Yes you can retrofit a salt water pool system onto your existing pool equipment without too much trouble.
How much is too much. Drain and refill if readings are off the scale. If over by a small amount then partial draining may work.
True salt water pools have the same parts per million (ppm) as sea water which is roughly 35,000 ppm. We have a salt taste threshold of around 3,500 ppm and our eyes have about 7,000ppm. Most chlorine generators require a salt content of 3,000-5,000 ppm in the pool. You will feel the salt in a true salt water pool, most people don't notice the salt in a pool with a chlorine generator.
Cooper or coPPer ? Too much cOOper , then ask Cooper to get out of the pool !!
Just wait it out the chlorine will dissipate after a couple of days. if you have a salt water pool turn the chlorine generator down or run the filter less often if possible.
Foam in a pool that uses Baquacil can have a leak in return hose. It can also be the result of putting too much product in the pool. You should check the chemical levels in the pool.
