No you keep the same friends but they just do not belong to the same network as you anymore. But you can still talk to them etc. Nothing really changes apart from the fact your not so called in their network.
Re-add your friends, or contact Facebook as they may have a backup of your account before your friends disappeared
You can not delete you ID from Facebook you have to deactivate your account and then create a new account. Although this may be rather annoying as you will lose contact with all your friends on facebook.
