When you have a larger outdoor unit than your indoor unit, several things come into play. Some units are ARI rated as in the capacity loss, efficiency loss, ect. It is not a good idea. Also, evry time you put a new outdoor condenser into a system, it has a full oil charge. When you add the oil alraeady there, you have too much. I do not know if you were meaning a new unit or one that still works just to get by. With the cost of operation, you are always better to replace the system new with matching components.

Something is still wrong with it, and without seeing it no one can yell you what it is.

The system is very dirty from the first compressor that went out....... If you just replaced the a/c compressor without changing the expansion tube, the accumulator and flushing out the complete system then it will never work correctly......

My car is going through the same issue with the A/C. You CAN replace the compressor clutch without replacing the compressor, but the caveat is that you can't tell if the compressor is any good without a clutch. So basically you are gambling that the compressor will still be good by only replacing the clutch. Hope this helps!

If this is the a/c compressor, yes you can. You will just not have air.

yes but if the compressor does not work there is no reason for it.

does add color to water tell about changing matter without changing its shape

No. It is possible to change direction without changing speed. However, it is not possible to change direction without changing velocity.

On a vehicle with a compressor with a cycling clutch, yes.

can a chemical property be observed without changing the substance

The AC clutch cannot be replaced without physically removing the compressor on a 1997 Mercury Sable. The compressor and magnetic plate must be removed before you can access the clutch.

physical properties can be observed without chemically changing matter

A physical property can be observed without changing the substance into something else.

The chimical properties can't be observed without changing the substance.

This can be a sign of a bad compressor and you will need to run a compressor check first, this can be done without draining the freon....

The compressors are basically the same . Very simply put with out getting to technical is what makes a heat pump a heat pump is a reversing valve that changes the direction the refrigerant travels in lines leading to and from the condensing unit and to the coil, without changing direction of flow in they compressor. You should always check with the manufacture before replacing an unlike compressor for compatibility.

Changing the number of electrons simply makes the atom into an ion without changing the element. Changing the number of neutrons only changes the isotope.

It may seem obvious, but it can happen. As you were setting the thermostat, you could have flicked the selector switch over to "heat" instead of "cool." If this happened, then the reason you feel the hot air blowing from your system is because the heat is on. Simply move the switch to the "cool" setting to start chilling out. Check the outside unit. This is where your compressor and condenser coils are located. Make sure the outside power switch is turned on to power the compressor. Without power, the system might run from the inside air handler, but it will not cool. Also check to see if there is debris such as leaves or other items blocking the air intakes on the system. This also can prevent proper cooling. Checking for airflow restrictions around the outside unit should be a regular maintenance routine.

A quality of it changed without it changing itself.

That means that something moves at a constant velocity: i.e., without changing direction, and without changing its speed.

what property of matter has a characteristic that can be measured or observed without changing it idenity

You have to go on the compressor! My husband has a 95 and the auto parts manager told him you have to.

No it can't. The compressor breaks internally and that is why it locks up

If you have a short belt that bypasses the compressor you can drive without air conditioning. If your belt is completely off, you can drive without ac, power steering, water pump and alternator for about a quarter mile before your engine overheats.

Before removing the compressor from a refrigerator or other appliances, you must 'reclaim' the refrigerant. This is done by connecting a compressor-pump on the access connection and pumping the refrigerant into an approved storage tank. once the refrigerant is out of the system, you crimp & cut the lines going into the compressor. There will be compressor lube in the compressor; don't spill it or let it leak out.
