If you pawned you car title in Georgia and you went 7 days late and they come repo it without a phone call or leaving papers what do you have to do to get it back?
The law in the state of Ga says that the pawnbroker has to send you a letter by certified mail or overnight delivery stating that you have 20 days from the date of the notice to pay them in full, meaning the entire amount of the original amount loaned and including interest, repossession fees and storage charges. If the title pawn company did not do this I would hire an attorney. You may be able to sue them for any money they received by selling the vehicle, if that be the case, and attorneys fees, court cost, any expenses of litigation and possibly punitive damages. You have up to two years to do this.
