If your 1998 Regency just started to blow cold and overheat could it be because you put some chicken oil in the coolant tank?

This is really good. The properties of Chicken oil in a vehicle cooling system was first discussed today. It is a no no. Chicken oil cannot maintain fluidity at low temperatures thus clogs the automobile's radiator with chicken fat deposits. This Clogged radiator therefore overheats. Overheaing causes high pressure which is soon released from a subsequent blowout of the radiator, hoses or the engine's gaskets. One clue to the probelm here is the pleasing smell of fried chicken.

There could be many reasons. Not enough coolant or bad flow, faulty thermostat, low oil. If the coolant freezes then it will overheat. If your car continues to overheat then you should have the coolant flushed and thermostat replaced.

In the general case, cars overheat because of a bad thermostat, low coolant level, blockage in the coolant system, insufficient antifreeze percentage, fan blockage, or water pump failure.
