It sounds like your mom is watching out for your health and is concerned for you. Perhaps you should listen to what she has to say. She seems like a wise person.

If you want to stay or get slim, do it with exercise. A half hour to one hour of sweat producing exercise will do more to keep you thin than will starving yourself. Well defined muscle is far more healthy and good looking than is a skinny body that has lost all muscle tone and is suffering from malnutrition.

Eat well and exercise often. That is a good plan for maintaining a good appearance and good health. Remember that nothing is more appealing than someone who looks healthy.
