If your transmission was damaged during the towing of your repossessed vehicle which you recovered can you get the towing company or lender to pay for the damages?
Probably not. The risk was yours since towing was the logical next step for failing to meet the requirements of the loan. It was your failure to meet the requirements of the loan which led to the vehicle being repossessed which subsequently caused the vehicle to be towed. All the towing company needs to do is to prove that they used standard towing practices.

If your vehicle was damaged while in parking gear and the insurance company refuses to pay for transmission damage what recourse does one have?
Are you asking about transmission problems that someone hit you while in park? Or that you didnt have money to fix it and asked the insurance company to help? If its the first scenario, you will need proof that the damage done to your transmission was a direct result from that accident. If its the second one, your insurance doesnt have to pay anything, as that's what warranties are for, not insurance policies.
If you had your truck in neutral stepped on the gas then slammed it into drive what could you damage?
If you are the co-signer of a vehicle that was voluntarily repossessed how can you get your good rating back?
Your transmission's filter may be clogged, you may be low on transmission fluid, or the transmission may need repair or replacement. If the transmission was full of fluid, I would suggest a transmission flush, or replacing the transmission filter and fluid. If this doesn't help the transmission may actually be damaged and may need repair or replacement.
This all depends on the condition of the vehicle at the time of recovery..however..I am assuming this case as being in the UK.If the vehicle is not in a driveable state,or is severely damaged..then yes you will have to inform your insurer who will take responsibility of the vehicle, assess any damages, and depending on the type of insurance policy you have- [i.e-FULLY COMPREHENSIVE-THIRD PARTY-FIRE AND THEFT OR THIRD PARTY ONLY-] accordingly also look at the Police…
