A junior JAG officer is probably a Navy Lieutenant, at a pay grade of "O3", has a pay dependent on their time on active duty, between $35K and $45K per year. A mid-grade JAG officer is probably a Navy Commander or O5, with a pay between $45K and $70K per year. There are additional allowances for housing and meals.

TeufelHunde in German, or in English, Devil Dog. A head banging tribute to the fierce fighting style of the U.S. Marines. The title "Teufelhunden" translates into "Devil Dogs", and it is the nickname German soldiers gave to Marines during the battle of Belleau Wood in 1918 by an offical report. Ever since, the nickname Devil Dog has been common in the United States Marine Corps. THEY ALSO CALL US. DEVIL, KILLER, DEVIL PUPS (YOUNG MARINE CHILDREN), HARD DOGS, AND A FEW JUST TO NAME A FEW Often referred to as Jarheads. You can call a woman marine a BAM - if you want to carry your teeth home in your pocket! M-A-R-I-N-E-S= Muscles Are Required, Intelligence Not E-Sential. They are both VERY different. A Navy servicemen is in the Navy. A Marine is in the Marine Corps. The Marine Corps is just a department of the Navy.
The US Navy and Marine Corps are both parts of the US Navy. Then there's shore establishments, HQ's and Operating units if I'm correct. If you want a more simple answer- The Navy, Navy Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, and the Marine Corps.
United States Marine Corps .
The Marine Corps by Title X US Code is still a part of the Dept of the Navy.
The Marine Corps are subordinate to the Department of the Navy.
The Marine Corps is not senior to the Navy, nor is the Navy senior to the Marine Corps. The USMC is a branch of the US Military under the jurisdiction of the Navy. Basically, the Marines conduct landing operations on coastal areas, working WITH the Navy, who mainly stays on the ships and in the air. If however the question regards parade marching position, then yes, the Marine Corps does take precedence by tradition over the Navy.
Two separate US Military Forces are under the direction of the Secretary of the Navy, the US Navy and the US Marine Corps under the most recent National Security Act of 1947.
That the Marine Corps is subordinate to and part of the US Navy.
Technically, they never have. The Marine Corps is still a department of the Navy.
