Where do the Obamas go to church now?

These days, due to security concerns, many presidents and first ladies attend services at a private place like Camp David MD. Mrs. Obama has attended services at several area churches in Washington DC, but she has not officially joined a church in the area because the extra scrutiny and media attention would cause problems for the congregation.

Yes, absolutely. While in Washington DC, they have generally gone to a church that is in close proximity to the White House, but they have not joined any one church. They also do not go on a regular basis, out of courtesy for the logistical problems (traffic jams, need for Secret Service and extra security, etc) that the presence of the First Family can cause worshipers. Among the churches the Obama family has attended in DC are the Zion Baptist Church, the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church, the Vermont Avenue Baptist Church, Shiloh Baptist Church, and the Methodist AME Church. The president has also been visited by several Protestant ministers, who have prayed with him at certain times.
