well, it is sort of complicated. first of all edward thinks bella is dead because alice had a vision of bella jumping of a cliff. sooo, then edward goes to the volturi and asks to die because he feels that he has no other reason to live. then bella goes to try and save him and as a result... the volturi demand for the cullen family to set a date for bella to be transformed into a vampire, she saves edward, they get back together, and edward proposes! it is a great book. thank you stephanie meter!
