The Immigration Act of 1924 banned the following specific Asian groups completely:

Japanese,

Chinese,

Filipino's,

Siamese,

Thai,

Vietnamese,

Cambodians,

Burmese,

Indians,

Indonesians,

Malaysians and

Laotians.

It reduced annual Italian immigation quotas from 200,000 ti 4,000.

It increased the quotas for Germans, British and Irish.

It did not change the quotas for Latin America.
