A hook shot is when a player takes one hand with the ball and brings it up in a half-circle motion to flick his/her wrist at the highest point to score a basket.

A hook is a shot taken by a player who extends either his left or right arm strait out from either shoulder and throws the ball over his head towards the basket to try to score a goal.

There is no such thing. That is probably just a term for a hook shot that hits the rim and bounces in the basket.
