Can recent computer games run in quad core?

Most newer games are able to use multiple cores but not as efficiently.

Is the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 faster than the Intel Dual E2180?

If you mean "better" in terms of performance, it is the Intel Core 2 Quad. The Core 2 Quad has 4 CPU cores, compared to the Core 2 Duo with only 2 CPU cores. This means that the Core 2 Quad is twice as fast as the Core 2 Duo and four times as fast as normal CPUs with only one core. Well this answer is wrong to a great extent. the reason the e8500 is very popular still is because although it only has 2 cores each core is running at 3.16 GHz which makes it great for software or programs that only use 2 cores primarily. its great to have 4 cores but the q8200 only runs at 2.33 GHz. that means if your using something that only uses 2 core primarily the e8500 would be better because the 2 cores are 3.16GHz compared to the quads 2.33GHz. now for programs and softwares that are optimized to use 4 cores the quad core is obviouslt better because it will actually put the 3rd and 4th core to work. the reason i personally chose to get a e8500 is because its super easy to overclock and the truth is quad cores are not really being used yet. if you like doing video editing and a lot of multimedia work than the quad is probably for you but as far as playing games and doing simply everyday use the e8500 is definitely the way to go. the answer truly depends on what you like doing most. But from my personal opinion i would go with the e8500 because 4 cores are simply not that popular yet for programmers and it probably will be a couple of years before quad cores are really taken advantage of but when that time comes the quads of today will be cheap compared to the new ones that come out. so personally ill go for the e8500 but its all up to you

What is the latest development of computer?

There are continuous developments in computer technology. Researchers are studying the capabilities of the computing and network technologies which businesses, governments, and scientific institutions will need to manage and draw insight from the wealth of data produced by society each day. Increasingly advanced processors are needed to serve the business and domestic market and there have been great developments in the processors field, with Intel developing its Core family of processors which are more powerful variants of their previous processors. The current lineup of Core processors includes the latest Intel Core i7, and Intel Core i3. Although they've been out for a while now, Intel's Core lineup are still considered relatively young (for processor line marketing).

How do laptop cooling fans work?

Turn it off or you could put it in the freezer for a few minutes..... Hahahahah Try to buy a cooler or put a fan near it to increase the air flow around the unit. You can also use the computer in a temperature controlled room like how they run servers.. You could always build something with a small motor and a tube to blow in air near the vents of your laptop. the easiest way to cool the CPU is to not use it as much... this way it doesn't get as hot.. You could always under clock it and set the CPU speed slower so the temperature doesn't get too high... , if you need the power just increase the cores, use an I-7 or maybe an I-9 with 4 to 6 cores put set the Mhz to one 1ghz instead of 3.0Ghz so that the Cpu will not get as hot....

How does core help in processing?

Core, as in the cores in a computer processor? They don't help in processing, they ARE the processing. Cores can refer to different things if you take the definitions from different vendors (AMD and Intel consider the cores of their processors to be two different things). For simplicity sake, we'll go with integer cores. These handle the floating point calculations, memory reservations, and data flow required to make a computer...compute More cores can mean more processing. There are limitations to anything though, and most programs typically aren't designed to handle more than four threads at once. Again, for simplicity, lets consider a thread a line of instructions sent to a single core. 4 threads = 4 cores. (Intel can have up to 12 threads on their six-core processor via HT technology) Having more cores typically lowers the performance-per-core and power efficiency of a processor, meaning that any program that uses fewer threads will run poorly on a multi-core processor.

What is the most cores that a single processor has?

Intel is currently preparing a six core processor for release.Four processor are the most you can get now.

What is dual core processors?

A dual-core CPU (or chip-level multiprocessor, CMP) combines two or more independent cores into a single package composed of a single integrated circuit (IC), called a die, or more dies packaged together. A dual-core processor contains two cores and a quad-core processor contains four cores. A multi-core microprocessor implements multiprocessing in a single physical package. A processor with all cores on a single die is called a monolithic processor. Cores in a multicore device may share a single coherent cache at the highest on-device cache level (e.g. L2 for the Intel Core 2) or may have separate caches (e.g. current AMD dual-core processors). The processors also share the same interconnect to the rest of the system. Each "core" independently implements optimizations such as superscalar execution, pipelining, and multithreading. A system with N cores is effective when it is presented with N or more threads concurrently. The most commercially significant (or at least the most 'obvious') multi-core processors are those used in computers (primarily from Intel & AMD) and game consoles (e.g., the Cell processor in the PS3). In this context, "multi" typically means a relatively small number of cores. However, the technology is widely used in other technology areas, especially those of embedded processors, such as network processors and digital signal processors, and in GPUs

Which CPU is manufactured as a multi core processor with one of the cores disabled?

Triple Edit: "Triple?" What does this mean? Triple core? There are Rana processors that are shipped as dual-core but have 3 cores on the die. This means that your answer is wrong. The most common examples are triple-core processors, but not all of them. As for actual examples, Phenom X2-X3 and Athlon X3 processors are famous for having locked cores.

How to replace heater core in a 1996 olds achieva sl?

To replace most heater cores you have to remove the dash on the passenger side.

What is a quadcore?

Intel Quad Core is one of the newer technologies developed by Intel for their consumer level Core 2 Quad and higher end Xeon processors. Basically, a quad core processor incorporates four processors onto one chip. In theory, you could see a massive improvement in performance from a quad core system but in reality, most programs, (and operating systems for that matter) do not yet support full utilization of all four cores.

What should be the construction core or shell typeof a step down transformer?

The core design has nothing to do with whether a transformer is used to step down, or step up, a voltage. Most transformers have core-type cores. Very large capacity (MV.A) transformers sometimes have shell-type cores, because they can be manufactured with less height. WebRep currentVote noRating noWeight

What is more important for computer performance processor speed or number of cores?

Depends on the application. If you are doing alot of multitasking (running many programs at once) then a multi-core will be a good option. CPU clock speed is relative in this because it is common knowledge that a good dual core processor can outperform quad cores in gaming at times. This is because most games out now do not utilize the 4 cores. So in conclusion it really depends on what you want to do. For gaming, a dual core is a good option, for heavy multitasking a 4 core may be good for you.
